"A Scottish Wind in the Willows on high end skunk."

"I enjoy Kate's stories..."
"A fun and spooky read..."

"The characters are so involving and
loveable that you do want them to really exist. It does read like you've
stumbled across someone's long lost diary from and alternate timeline/universe.
I quickly got into the story and loved every second of reading it...
total gem of a read by an author who deserves a lot more recognition."

Rebecca English Part 7/13

Probably my two favourite scenes from one of my favourite films - uber-cad George Sanders hopping in the morning room window from 2.36, and Judith Anderson as "Mrs Danvers" from 7, showing poor Joan Fontaine Rebecca's old undies, made specially for her by nuns (always struck me as quite bizarre), and the chinchilla coat - "It was a Christmas present from Mr de Winter...".  A jarringly uncomfortable film to watch, but something mesmerising about it.

Thank You!

The biscuit tin
Big thank you to those who have contributed a pound to the "upkeep of the blog" via the widget on the right hand side of the page - i.e., my tea and biscuits fund.  I can now upgrade from "value label" custard creams, to maybe a Fox's Crunch Cream or (my favourite) a Jam Ring.
Much appreciated.

Butthole Surfers - Hurdy Gurdy Man

I must find out more about the Butthole Surfers.  This psychotic version of Hurdy Gurdy Man blows Donovan's rather "milquetoast" (to use a word I saw online recently, for possibly the first time ever) original out of the water.
