About the blog.

Welcome to my blog. It's been going since July 2008 and is a combination of fiction, featuring regular characters, and my own general reflections. In 2012 I converted about a thousand old posts to e-books, and then paperbacks. To read a review of that early stuff, please see page 17 of the Spring 2011 issue of Northwords Now . New link to PDF https://www.northwordsnow.co.uk/userfiles/issues/17.pdf These posts were set in an imaginary place called Hereabouts, inspired mainly by Duirinish, Isle of Skye (before the internet destroyed it) and my memories of family and others there. All paintings were kindly provided by Scottish artist BW Nicol.
