Hello there, new readers 👋.  There seems to be a few.

I haven't got anything to say right now but you never know.  I suppose it doesn't matter much as I've said plenty in the past, as will be evident from the vast number of 'blog posts'.

Anyway I'm still alive, despite a lifetime's ingestion of salty snax, drink, smokes and sausages.  My fingers still work, hence them currently twinkling across the keyboard.  I'm not blind, although overdue my two yearly eye examination by about 18 months as Specsavers keep telling me via relentless emails, letters and texts.  I am slightly deaf and my knees are terrible but I still have my marbles.  Or perhaps I don't - how would I know?  Perhaps I'm living in a self-generated fantasy land, fuelled by dangerous levels of the bad type of cholesterol and general flatulence.  If I am,  I wish I might have conjured up one with pleasant neighbours, enough money to buy the nicer brands of biscuits, and a soundproofed bathroom with good plumbing.

I have a story in the current edition of Northwords Now.  Page 18 I think.  Available online for those who wish to look.
